ISI introduces Current Abstracts of Chemistry and
Index Chemicus®
ISI incorporates under Pennsylvania law.

ISI receives a grant from the National Institutes of Health
to produce the experimental Genetics Citation Index using citation
indexing. First, a comprehensive interdisciplinary index was produced. From
this database, citations relating to genetics were extracted. Published
in 1963, the comprehensive database eventually becomes the 1961 Science
Citation Index® (SCI) which included 562 journals and 2 million
citations. The 1964 SCI comprises five volumes.

Magnetic tapes of citation data and source data become available.

The weekly citation file consists of approximately 65,000 cited references
from approximately 5,800 source items.
CC Chemical Sciences is introduced.
